Paolo Rizzi insegna Politica economica ed Economia applicata presso la facoltà di Economia e Giurisprudenza dell’Università Cattolica di Piacenza e Cremona, ed Economia del turismo presso l’Università Bicocca di Milano. Coordina il Laboratorio di Economia Locale (LEL), centro di ricerca dell’Università Cattolica, e i percorsi di formazione sociale Cives di Piacenza e Benevento. Country Representative di Regional Studies Association, è stato segretario dell’Aisre - Associazione italiana di Scienze regionali. Autore di diverse pubblicazioni scientifiche sui temi dello sviluppo locale e delle politiche territoriali, tra le sue aree di ricerca e di consulenza vi sono anche il capitale sociale e l’economia di comunità, la povertà e il welfare locale, le nuove misure del benessere e della sostenibilità, l’economia della felicità.
