Astrid Gamba è ricercatrice di Economia politica presso il Dipartimento di Economia dell’Università degli Studi dell’Insubria, dove insegna Microeconomia. Si occupa di teoria dei giochi, economia comportamentale ed economia pubblica, tematiche su cui ha pubblicato in alcune tra le principali riviste internazionali. È stata research fellow presso il Max Planck Institute di Jena e l’Università di Milano Bicocca.

Using linked employer-employee data for the UK we address competing explanations for gender gaps in job satisfaction. Previous studies have rationalized the puzzling greater satisfaction of women either by pointing out gender differences in competitive attitudes, or through differences in sorting across jobs and industries.
